What is Lorain Grassroots?

Lorain Grassroots is a community group that promotes the better health of the Lorain community using local resources, people, and education catered to local issues. This blog will be used to inform readers on topics such as mental health, political literacy, and the people in our city. Our goal is to broaden people's minds and open their hearts in order to heal our home starting at the roots!

M. Cordova: Lorain, Ohio, United States; Hi, my name is Mya Cordova, founder of Lorain Grassroots. Despite the many times I've been told to leave Lorain behind and find something better, I have found that love for my city has only grown as I learn more about the purposeful neglect and exploitation of low-income areas causing detrimental damage to our people and our community. It is in my best interest to do what I can to help Lorain, even if I'm only starting at the roots.
